One thing about being a wedding photographer means you have to be prepared to take photos in any kind of lighting situation. This is why hiring someone who specializes in weddings is so important. Taking photos at “golden hour” is easy, but taking photos in various places with varying lighting can be challenging. When Jenny & Mike reached out to me, they specifically requested to take all their photos inside. They did NOT want to sweat on their wedding day & wanted to hire someone who felt confident shooting indoors all day. This requires a photographer who is confident with flash photography. We photographed this wedding day almost exclusively with flash & couldn’t be more proud with the results. We have photographed 150+ weddings at this point and this was our first time encountering ALL of the photos taken inside. Even on cold and rainy days, we usually get some sort of break in the clouds where we can take a few photos outside. At a place as stunning as Hotel Carmichael, there was no shortage of beautiful indoor spots for photos. It was so much fun getting to hang out with Mike & Jenny and their lovely crew. We truly have the best job ever.
